In order to realize the principle of the Lord Shree Swaminarayan “To perform noble deeds on this earth and to get such deeds from others.” Swami Devswaroopdasji Guru Swami Satyanarayandasji established a beautiful educational complex of Gujarati medium named ‘Shree Swaminarayan Vidyadham’ in village Abrama.

‘Shree Ghanshyam Balmandir’ and ‘Shreeji Primary School’ were started in the year 1996. and ‘Shree Swaminarayan High School’ was started in the year 2001. Now in this complex, Balmandir, primary school from standard 1 to 7 and high school from standard 8 to 10 are being run wherein about 1200 students are taking education along with good qualities and values.

In the establishment of this educational complex, there have been complete guidance of inspiration of Purani Swami Keshavcharandasji- the founder of ‘Shree Swaminarayan Education Seva Kendra of Salvav-Vapi. Mantri Shree Shastri Kapiljivandasji has been guiding the institute constantly through his  educational thoughts.

The main objective of the institute has been to uplift the people of tribal area, empowerment of women through audio-visual aids and to make a child courageous, courteous, eco-friendly, patriotic, self-reliant and a responsible citizen by running an Ashramshala. The aim of this institute is also to run Medical Centre, Yoga-Centre etc. for upliftment of the human beings, to run science centre and technical schools to help the poor class get employment to earn their livelihood and also to undertake noble activities for rural development and service to the society through man-building.  In this task, saints, trustees, teaching staff, parents and guardians are putting in their sincere efforts. Non-teaching staff of the institute has also been rendering his services.

This institute has played a leading role for service to the society during the time of natural calamities like earthquake, floods, draught etc. Moreover, various activities are being undertaken in the school. These include various competitions of sports and games, science fair, eco-club wherein students are rendering their valuable services under the guidance of their teachers.
In order to widen the mental horizon of the students various kinds of examinations like Hindi, Drawing and Painting, Talent Search are being taken in the school wherein the students bring good results. Education of computer is imparted to the students in this school from standard 4 and keeping a pace with the modern developments in the society, right from the Bal-Mandir, there is facility of teaching English to the students.

In order to maintain  clean atmosphere and to preserve the environment activities like planting trees are also undertaken in the school.

Generally the students are averse to extra-reading. Therefore to mould them towards habit of reading, a library has been developed into the school whose benefit is being availed by the students of the school during the recess time. In order to increase the interest of the students in Science,  the school participates in science fair at district level and in order to encourage such a participation, a laboratory has also been developed in the school.

In order that the students obtain knowledge about the outer world, the school arranges educational tour and trip wherein students also learn alongwith refreshment and entertainment.

Through encouraging slogans and proverbs, stories, Bhajan, lectures, general knowledge etc. in each class of standard 1 to 10, an attempt is being made to  bring out the hidden powers and capacities of the students and to develop in them the qualities of courage and leadership. In the development of the institute, Shree Ishwarbhai G. Desai, the retired principal, has been rendering his valuable services.

The first three toppers of each standard are encouraged through gifts and awards. The institute aims to develop in full in future and to provide facility of education upto standard 12.
