Just as the Banyan tree extends and expands its branches and grants the benefit of shade under it to all the passers by, similarly with a noble intention to extend the benefit of education to most of the people, Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul, Palanpur, took charge of an institute of Bhilad situated in the tribal area of Valsad district in the year 1998 which was on the verge of close and renewed it. At present following units are run by this institute under the beautiful guidance of the saints:

2. Shri Swaminarayan High School [Std.8 to 10 (Eng. Medium)]
3. Shri Swaminarayan Vidyaniketan Primary School[Std.1 to 7(Guj. Medium)]
4. Shri Swaminarayan Vidyaniketan High School [Std.8 to 10 (Guj. Medium)]
5. Shri  Swaminarayan Balmandir.

In the above institutes along with effective and qualitative education children are also imparted computer education as well as on-line education through live education to keep a pace with the modern trends in education. They are also taught moral lessons of nation building through qualitative human resource.

In 2003 the institute took charge of a ruined institute of village Bilpudi of Dharampur which is considered very backward in Valsad district, gave a totally new shape to its building and started therein a high school  [Std.8 to 10 (Common Stream)], Higher Secondary School and a free of cost hostel for Adivasi girl students to encourage women-education in the area.

With the grace and mercy of the Almighty God and blessings of the elders, children are availing the benefit of quality education, Samskaras, life-supportive education as well as entertainment through games and sports in Gujarati and English medium schools and College of Physical Education of beautiful village Bhilad of Umergam taluka of Valsad district situated at the foot hills of Tambia  hill in South Gujarat near the border of Maharashtra state.

Thus this Gurukul has taken up a colossal task of educating the children of the backward and tribal area of South Gujarat wherein Shastri Swami Vrindavanviharidasji, Purani Swami Brahmswaroopdasji, Shastri Swami Santswaroopdasji, Swami K. Vishwaswaroopacharya etc. have been rendering their services.
