Gurukul is such an institute where not only the mental and educational development  but also development as regards noble values, Samskaras and spiritual development also takes place in a child. In the present age education has increased a lot but on the other side Samskaras have decreased drastically. Education without Samskaras sometimes becomes a danger also.

In Gurukul Samskaras are given more importance because Samskaras are a great Rishi-tradition through which first of all importance of parents is preserved in the life a child. Noble feelings for the country and the society develop and thus Samskaras turn out to be an ornament of a child.

In this country there was a great tradition of Gurukul which in the course of time became extinct. But the Lord Swaminarayan directed in ‘Shiksha-Patri’ and imparted a new form to this tradition. Today sincere efforts are being made in Swaminarayan Gurukuls for the upliftment of the society and imbibing Samskaras alongwith education in a child.  Educational services, help to the needy people and works of service to the society at the time of the natural calamities like floods, drought, earthquake etc.

Young and enthusiastic Sadguru Kothari Swami Hariswaroopdasji of Swaminarayan temple, Dholera, rendered his services in Gadhpur temple for a considerable time. Moreover he also rendered his services as Kothari Shri in Dholera and undertook the renovation work of the inner temple of Shri Madanmohanji Maharaj. Simultaneously  he also undertook and accomplished the tasks of having constructed Yatrik-Bhuvan, Pakshala, Bhojanalaya, Bramcharii Nivas, Gau-shala and main entrance gate of the village. On completion of 175 years of invocation of the idol images of Shri Madanmohanji Maharaj unique ‘Shatamrit Mahotsav’ was also celebrated in Dholera under the Chairmanship of Kothari Swami Hariswaroopdasji.

As per the instructions of the Lord Swaminarayan, it was the need that the people understand the importance of the Lord, may worship him, sing Bhajans and Kirtans and Satsang may be spread to every leaf and leaflet and for that there was a need of Harimandir in every temple. While accomplishing the development work of Shri Swaminarayan temple, Dholera, Swamiji also accomplished the renovation works of the temples of the villages Jakhad, Vagad, Kharad, Khasta, Bhumbhli, Kauka, Pipli etc. and construction of new temples in the villages like Morshiya, Gorayu, Bhildi etc. Still work of renovation and construction of new temples is going on.

In a very short time, Swamiji developed the temple of Dholera to a great extent. Observing the interest of the young, enthusiastic, learned Kathakar saint Shastri Swami Hariprakashdasji in educational activities , Shri Hariswaroop Swami started an educational institute in the year 1998 in Chittal. Besides educational services, the institute also renders Gau-seva.
At present educational work from Balmandir till Std.10 is going on in the institute. Moreover,  as a part of laying more stress on  women’s education, fees of girl-students are just 50%. Sometimes some of the poor and needy students are imparted education without taking any fees. As a part of development programme, in future there will be new building for the school, hostel, spacious Sabha-Gruh, library, laboratory, computer room, Gaushala and saint-nivas of the institute.

With a noble intention to increase Satsang in the society, construction of Hari-temples and organization of Satsang Sabha are planned beautifully in the institute.
