With a view to make the children well cultured and free from all addictions and by getting good education may become a good citizen of the country, before 14 years, Saint Shastri Swami Vishnuprasaddasji of Gadhda Temple and his Guru Pujya Swami Ghanshyamprasaddasji established a trust named Shri Swaminarayan Sanskar Kendra at Gariyadhar. The institute started Bal Mandir in the year 1988 and within a short span of 8 years, an educational institute imparting education from Bal Mandir to High School was made ready.
In the year 1987, an arts and commerce college was started at Gariyadhar with the help of some of the dignitaries devoted to social service. It was the first college of Gariyadhar. Earlier only 10 to 15 students used to graduate from the city. Now, at the same place more than 100 students graduate from the city and go for the higher studies. The institute has also undertaken the procedure for starting P.T.C. and B.Ed. College to increase educational facilities in the rural areas.
Every year the result of S.S.C., H.S.C. and College of the institute comes around 90 to 95 % moreover, the students of the institute bring glorious result in various competitions of drawing, essay, extempore and sports and games.
