With the grace of Shreeji Maharaj ‘Shree Swaminarayan Jankalyan Seva Trust’ was established in the year 1995. the founder of the institute Sadguru Kothari Swami Harikrishnadasji and his Guru Swami Harinarayandasji (Bapu) are native residents of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Junagadh.

Kothari Swami Harikrishnadasji has rendered his services as Kothari of Shree Swaminaryan Temple, Rajkot, from 1980 A.D. to 1982 A.D. thereafter he rendered his services to the Dev I Shree Swaminaryan temple at Vadi in Vadodara during 1995-1996. After establishing  ‘Shree Swaminarayan Jankalyan Seva Trust’, he established in 1996 ‘Shree Swaminarayan Vidyalaya’ in Yoginagar Township near Gotri village of Western part of Vadodara city. In the first year the institute started Balwadi and standards 1 to 4 wherein there were 50 to 60 students. In the 7th year of its beginning, there are Balwadi and standards 1 to 10 in the institute wherein around 1000 students have been studying.

The school started with 4 classrooms in the first stage whereas today it has 18 classrooms. At present the institute has a building of three floors with all the modern facilities and equipments. Today Shree Swaminarayan Vidyalaya has unique place in Gotri area. The institute leads in inculcating among the students Samskaras, building personality and discipline. Computer education is also imparted in the school. Various religious festivals as also Vyavam Shibir, Sanskrutic Shibir, Ramatotsav (Festival of sports) are celebrated every year in the year.  On every Saturday one thousand students perform collective prayer as also Hanuman Chalisa and thereby spread feeling of religiosity in the area.

A beautiful temple of Hanumanji has been constructed near the school, wherein the idol of Shree Bhayabhanjandev has been installed. The invocation ceremony of the idol was performed in the year 2001. In spite of suffering from ill health, Sadguru Purani Swami Narayanmunidasji (Guruswami), who has established  Shree Swaminarayan Sanskrutidham, Laadvi, graced the invocation ceremony due to perseverance of Sadguru Shastri Premswaroopdasji, and granted divine powers in the idol.

Shree Bhayabhanjandev has been installed in front of the temple, who looks after the students of the school. This god of strength and energy known as Baliyadev grants energy, power and pure intellect to the young students and also removes all kinds of fears about evil spirits and sorcery. The people of Gotri and nearby area get rid of their miseries and afflictions by visiting this temple and availing the benefit of Darshan of Shree Bhayabhanjandev.

Bhayabhanjandev, the brother of Kastabhanjandev of Sarangpur has graced the place. It can be said that, no such a grand temple of Hanumanji is situated anywhere in Vadodara. There is a beautiful garden in the premises of the temple where there are facilities of playing for the children.

The Principal of the school Shree Swami Ghanshyamprakashdasji and poojari of Hanumanji Swami Shreejicharandasji have been taking pains for the development and progress of the whole educational institute.
