The land which has been sanctified by the touch of the lotus-like feet of the Lord Shree Swaminarayan, the land which has been blessed by the Nand Saints and Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swami and the land which is the birth place of Bhaktaraj Dada Khachar is no one else but Botad. At the outskirt of  Botad on Gadhada road, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Botad,  is being run since 1994 by Shree Swaminaryan Shikshan Seva Samiti under the leadership of the founder Sadguru Swami Dharmjivandasji.

Vidyalaya is a centre to provide knowledge about how to lead a successful life. The institute has its own building with a playground right from its establishment. The nature has gifted the place with beauty where the Gurukul is situated.

Primary, secondary and higher secondary sections of the institute are always found throbbing with various educational activities. Arrangement has been made in the institute to provide education which is simple and easy and yet it may achieve the noble goal of overall development of the students while developing their hidden talents.

The institute has been throbbing with various co-curricular activities which are considered as the heart of education. Through efficient management and quality educational methods, this institute has brought result of S.S.C. around 80% percent by granting admission to the freshers as well as repeaters and has, thereby earned name and fame in Botad taluka and Bhavnagar district. This institute has been regularly imparting free education to the poor students and has been distributing note-books to the needy students free of cost every year.

As a mark of further development, at present S.P.Kukadiya Swaminarayan Complex, Vallabhipur is being run by this institute.

Equipped with I.T.I. department, this educational institute of Saurashtre region has made a leap bound development in the field of education. This institute has been running I.T.I since the year 2000. Moreover, this institute has also been running primary and secondary schools with computer education. From the year 2007, the institute has also started Swaminaryan (Women) B.Ed. college.

Following the principles of the Lord Swaminarayan the institute has been busy in religious, social and educational activities.
