With an objective to strengthen the pillars and base of Vedic Sanatan Dharma which were shaken under the influence of Kali-Yug, to instill life of Vishit Siddhanta, to explain the forms of Jiva, Ishwar, Maya, Brahma and Parabrahma, to release the stuck up path  of Dharma, Gyan,Vairagya and Ekantiki Bhakti, to establish cultured, knowledge-based and cultured society, to redeem it of the sins and to render the path of Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha easy, the Lord Swaminarayan took birth and blessed the Satsang being capable of imparting Moksha and free from any kind of fear.

The Lord Swaminarayan took birth in the eastern region and thereafter graced Gujarat and handed over the candle of serene Chaitanya-Gunatit to 500 Paramhamsas, established Code of Conduct in the form of self-written ‘Shiksha-Patri’ and to ensure that Satsang is preserved in all six organs, got constructed huge temples and installed idol images of the self in them, established Two Acharyas and thereby granted happiness, peace and richness to the saints and all Haribhakta ladies and gents.

H. Guru Swami Shree Narayanmunidasji, of the disciple tradition of Shree Gunatitanand Swami of Junagadh, also started the progress of Satsang from big cities and brought it to the small villages of the distant places and thereby performing Katha, Kirtan, Yagna and Parayan rendered service to the Satsang in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Africa, Europe and America. With the objective of spreading Satsang he got constructed Hari-temples in Hanumanpura, Sarsai, Sarsiya, Simasi, Nana Bhandariya, Rampur, Ramod, Bhimkata etc. villages and handed over the charge thereof to the efficient and able main disciple Kothari Swami Bhaktijivandasji.

In order to spread benevolent and welfare activities he encouraged his learned and erudite disciple Swami Shree K.P.Shastri and Shree Shastriji actualized the principle ‘Seva Muktishwa Gamyataam” in his life. Be it service to god or man, draught or excessive rain fall, storm or earthquake, to render free social service has become his natural way of life.  He undertook those efforts which instill in human beings of the next generation, qualities of Shree Hari, qualities of Satsang may multiply and a new society may emerge having a compassionate attitude towards life.

The great personalities have foreseen and predicted that this land would become world famous, many noble deeds would be performed, seers would reside on it. Obtaining the same land in Kadodara, Shree Swaminarayan Vishwa Vidyapeeth has been established.

Beginning with Bal-Mandir this institute has completed primary and secondary sections and by starting first ever residential Medical Ladies’ Physiotherapy College of the country, has earned name and fame. There is also the facility of hostel in the institute.

The institute also got necessary sanction for B.Ed. and Pharmacy college and on the same line over and above educational activities, hospital, Vruddha-Niketan and the temple of Shree Hari would also be completed in planned time-schedule. With the directions of H. Kothari Bapa and H. Shashtriji, Shree Sureshbhai, Shree Ghanshyambhai and Shree Shaileshbhai have also associated themselves with the task with a sense of sacrifice.
