Considering the deficiency of education in Kachchh region, it was decided by Shri Swaminarayan temple, Bhuj-Kachchh to start educational institutes in different regions. Accordingly Shri Hari Tapovan Gurukul Gangaji was established by Shri Swaminarayan temple, Bhuj-Kachchh at Rampar Vekra- the land which has been sanctified by the lotus like feet of the Lord Shri Rama, Shri Krishna, Aksharadipati Poorna Purushottam Lord Shri Swaminarayan and many other great saints and great dignitaries. The institute has been established with an aim to impart qualitative education coupled with Samskaras to the students. The inauguration of the institute was held on Falgun Vad 10 by Sadguru Mahant Swami Shri Hariswaroopdasji.
Touching every aspect of the region by educational, religious and social planning, at present one class each for standard 5 to 11 is being run by the institute wherein devoted teachers are imparting qualitative education to the students along with Samskaras and qualities of leadership.
The maximum contribution for starting this educational institute goes to the former Chairman of the Gurukul Sadguru Swami Krishnaprasadsasji and Sadguru Swami Laxmiprasaddasji.
