With the blessings and directions of Gurudev H. Purani Swami Keshavcharandasji, after completing his studies in Pathshalas of Gadhada, Ahmedabad and Vadtal Swaminarayan temples, performed Padyatra of about 4000 kms at a very young age and spread the Satsang in a number of villages. He arranged various programmes like Freedom from addiction camps, Bhakti, Satsang, Mahotsav, Prabhat-Pheri in the cities like Mumbai, Indore and Surat, reconstruction-cum-renovation of the temples of Sajnavav, Jikiyali, Indore and Kankanpur and obtained the pleasure of the Lord Swaminarayan.

As a result thereof and with the cooperation of Kachchh Swaminarayan Satsang Samaj, intellectual assistance of Gyanpurani Swami of Nasik and economic help of Hasmukhbhai Patel, Smt.Kokilaben Kanubhai Darbar of Vapi and support from the architect Shree Vasantbhai-Salvav, officers of the government and donors of Mumbai, Poona, Indore, Surat and Sajnavav, Shree Swaminarayan Education Service Centre Trust was established in the 1983.

With complete co-operation from District Primary Education Officer Shree R.B.Tadvi and Shree Kanubhai G. Amin, Makarpura, the school was started in the year 1984 however with only 35 students. Today with the blessings of Shree Hari and the elder saints and support and co-operation from others and with their collective efforts this institute has grown up into a shady tree. In spite of many difficulties saints, trustees and teachers have not budged an inch and have put in their sincere efforts behind all round development of the institute. As a result of these efforts, a great success in the field of education could be achieved in South Gujarat region.

Today with a span of 20 years, the campus of the institute has spread on a land admeasuring 7 acres wherein more than 3500 students are taking education from Bal-Mandir to P.T.C. College and like Narmada Dam the campus is teeming with the students and trainee boys and girls students.

Scholarship to the students of tribal areas with an objective to uplift their condition, group marriages, distribution of essentials of life like clothes, utensils, grains, tricycle, health camp, freedom from addiction Shibir, blood camp and renovation-cum-reconstruction of Dev-temples in the backward villages, are some of the other welfare activities being undertaken by the trust of the institute.

One can find pleasure coupled with unification of education and religion in the students on the playground well-equipped with all sports instruments and in the garden densely populated with shady trees and creepers. On behalf of the trust, the institute is being run by Shastri Kapil Swami and Babu Bhagat.
